A Different Pace, Same Standard.

A Different Pace, Same Standard.

An update on life, work, and what comes next.

It’s been a while since I last published here. Not because I ran out of things to say - but because life expanded in ways that demanded my full attention.

Over the last couple of years, I stepped into a season that required recalibration: motherhood, deeper responsibility, and a more honest look at how I wanted my life and work to actually fit together. I didn’t disappear. I thought long about what I really wanted my day to day to look like and then I refined.

This post isn’t an apology or a recap. It’s a reset - and a clear re-entry.

Life Looks Different Now (and Better for It).

Becoming a mother didn’t slow me down. It sharpened me.

It forced clarity around time, energy, and priorities. The margin I once filled with noise is now protected. The work I say yes to has to matter. The way I show up - at home and professionally - has become more intentional, more disciplined, and frankly, more effective.

This season has been less about doing more and more about doing what actually moves the needle - personally and professionally.

That shift is at the core of everything I’m building now.

How That Shift Changed the Way I Work.

From a business standpoint, the last two years quietly reshaped my approach.

I’ve moved further away from hustle-for-visibility and deeper into strategy, systems, and long-term thinking. Fewer distractions. Cleaner execution. Better outcomes for the people I work with.

I’ve learned that sustainable success - especially for women balancing leadership, family, and ambition - comes from structure and support; not sacrifice. From standards, not burnout. From knowing when to push and when to pause in a way that does not impact my client’s experience (very important to me).

That philosophy now underpins how I approach real estate, consulting, creative projects, and the content I share.

Style, Space, and the Rhythm of Daily Life

Lifestyle, for me, has always been about more than aesthetics - but aesthetics still matter.

How we live, how our homes function, how our days flow - these things shape our capacity. Style isn’t about trends; it’s about intention. About creating environments that support focus, calm, and momentum.

I care deeply about design, space, and routine because they quietly influence performance. The right rhythm creates room to think clearly, lead confidently, and live well.

Culture, Place, and Why Detroit Still Grounds Everything.

Detroit continues to be a central character in my life and work.

This city understands reinvention. It values grit, creativity, history, and forward motion - all at once. Being rooted here has reinforced my belief that progress doesn’t mean abandoning what came before; it means building on it thoughtfully.

Culture matters. Place matters. Context matters. And I plan to explore that more intentionally moving forward.

What This Blog Is Now.

This space is returning with purpose.

You can expect thoughtful, experience-driven writing across four pillars:

  • Lifestyle – How life (motherhood), ambition, and balance actually intersect.

  • Business – Real strategy, leadership, and systems (no hustle theater). Local highlights of business and entrepreneurs I admire.

  • Style – Taste, design, and intentional living.

  • Culture – Place, perspective, and the stories that shape us.

This won’t be about volume or noise. It will be about clarity, usefulness, and substance.

If you’re navigating growth -  personally or professionally - and value discernment over chaos, you’re in the right place.

I’m glad you’re here.
